Lisa Niehaus

Marketing & Communications Manager

Before taking on the role of Marketing and Communications Manager for CREI, Lisa spent several years in the education, communication and technology fields in the United States and Australia. While earning her Bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Barbara from 1998-2002, Lisa held several marketing and journalism internships. After graduating Cum Laude with a major in Communication and minor in Professional Writing, Lisa moved to Queensland, Australia to travel and earn her Masters in Educational Practice at Bond University. While studying, she tutored students in a variety of subjects, taught English to second language learners and was on the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence upon graduation. The technology field was booming when she returned to the United States in 2005 and it was time for Lisa to combine her love of education with her keen interest in computer science.  It was during this period that she strengthened her computer and advanced communication skills and was able to provide professional development, staff support and technology assessment for teachers in Orange County and Los Angeles as well as teach K-8th grade students in several schools. She designed integration projects and lesson plans for both private and public schools to incorporate technology into the curriculum and was promoted to managing 15 schools in these areas.

Lisa and Karl met in 2008, married in 2011 and started their lives together in Los Angeles. They jointly managed the properties in which they lived and Lisa was soon immersed in the Los Angeles real estate and property management world. They ended up in a 63 unit building on the border of Santa Monica which they would manage and call home for 9 years. They are proud parents to a daughter and son and they love traveling together throughout the United States and abroad to South Africa, Karl’s home country. When they moved into their new house in Brentwood in 2019, Lisa officially began her career at CREI which has allowed her to combine all of her professional accomplishments and work with her husband to meet the needs of clients throughout the country.
